What is it?

The LJCK - Lea and John's Compendium of Knowledge - is a tangible representation of a considerable amount of information Lea and John have acquired over the years, regarding all manner of things. This site exists both as a sort of journal for the creators as well as a potential “jumping off point” for others looking to waste time, have fun, and possibly learn something. Keep in mind, many of these projects are written from a starting point of zero, so if you already know what's going on, feel free to skip onto later steps.

Why is it?

Ever since Lea and John first met, they've been gathering all sorts of information on every topic imaginable. Some more interesting (and, arguably, dangerous) than others. For years they've been saying “you know, we really should write this stuff down.” so now they're taking the time out of their incredibly busy schedules to document many of these experiences. Much of it is information they spent a considerable amount of time figuring out (learning how to play Age of Empires II online took forever for some reason) or really cool things they built and still remember how to make; Cannon will probably get you in the hospital real fast. At the very least, this site will be useful to them.

Where is it?

Geographically, must of the information within was developed in Eastern North Carolina. The site is hosted on a Digital Ocean VPS, though in the past it has resided on a number of other VPSs, and I have hosted it locally as well.

But wait, there's more!

Prepare yourself for disappointment. A simple cure: if you have low expectations, you will never be disappointed. Many of these projects were never completed, and probably will never be completed. The really cool ones have been, but the more obscure pages will be much more lacking. If there is a particular project you would like to see more information on, contact either of us (email addresses are on the about page) and we'll do our best to augment the pages.
